Job Description:
SCOPE: Under general supervision, is responsible for the coordination and administration of all CT/Sims and diagnostic radiologic exams; ensures technical quality and timely transfer of data; and fabricates any necessary immobilization devices prior to scan as needed.
FUNCTIONS:
1. Administer Radioactive Tracer (F18 FDG) as well as I.V. contrast.
2. Perform and maintain quality control procedures for PET imaging.
3. Perform functional imaging (PET) scans for diagnostic purpose.
4. Perform diagnostic CT scans for routine radiologic exams.
5. Perform CT scans for radiation treatment planning purposes.
6. Fabricate immobilization and other treatment devices
7. Perform chest x-rays
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Registered in Nuclear Medicine Technology by ARRT and NMTCB with current license by the state of Louisiana
• Graduate of an AMA accredited program in radiologic technology .
• 2 years’ experience as nuclear medicine technologist
• 2 years’ experience as radiological technologist.
• CT experience preferred
• CPR
• Computer skills with proficiency on PET/C.T. scanner.
• Additional training or experience as a Phlebotomist a plus
