Summary: The candidate must have strong L2 and L3 support capabilities with in-depth expertise in WebSphere Portal administration. In addition to operational support, the role demands experience in Portal-based development and customization, including deployment, integration, and performance tuning in complex enterprise environments. The individual should be capable of handling end-to-end issue resolution, environment management, and automation
Job Description: Candidate must possess deep technical expertise in installing, configuring, and managing IBM WebSphere Portal environments, including clustered and high-availability setups. The individual must have hands-on experience with Portal version upgrades, patching, performance tuning, and integration with backend systems and web servers. Proficiency in administering related Middleware technologies such as WebSphere Application Server (WAS), WebLogic, Apache Tomcat, and Microsoft IIS is essential.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Supporting WebSphere Portal/HCL DX (Digital Experience), Web Content Management, WebSphere Application Server
Designing/Creating new portal pages, Adding/Configuring portlets, Content syndication from one environment to another, User provisioning
Applying fixes/fix packs, Upgrades/Migrations based on the need/requirement.
Support aggressive WebSphere Portal deployments from development to pre-production and production environments.
Troubleshooting performance problems considering infrastructure, database, and other portal interfaces
Supporting production environment during non-business hours
Installing/Configuring/Supporting Webservers – Apache, IHS
Technical Support to application developers
Documenting all the changes/issues/resolutions
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must Have Skills: Proficiency in IBM WebSphere Application Server Application Deployment.
- Strong understanding of application deployment processes and best practices.
- Experience with troubleshooting and resolving application issues in a timely manner.
- Familiarity with system monitoring tools and performance tuning.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in IBM WebSphere Application Server Application Deployment.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
