Job Title – Data Scientist

The Purpose of This Role

This role focuses on partnering with business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into AI problem statements and deliver impactful solutions. The individual will design and develop state-of-the-art AI models, algorithms, and systems, and lead their deployment to create measurable value for customers and associates. Success in this role requires strong collaboration across teams, deep expertise in emerging AI technologies like Generative AI, and the ability to work independently in ambiguous, fast-evolving environments

The Value You Deliver

• Manage and guide data science and data engineering elements of AI projects
• Set a strategic direction for data identification, collection and qualification activities
• Lead data analysis for multiple projects with diverse scope and complex business and technical challenges across several business units and functions
• Develop best practices for data science, considering the full analytical lifecycle
• Develop guidelines for the evaluation of new analytical tools and platforms

The Skills that are Key to this role

Technical / Behavioural

• The candidate should possess extensive knowledge of and experience in applying NLP , Generative AI , machine learning and deep learning techniques in a professional context
• The candidate should have expertise in handling diverse data types and structures, including both structured and unstructured data. Experience working with various data modalities—such as voice, image, video, and streaming data—is highly preferred.
• High level of proficiency in programming environments like Python, and cloud platforms like AWS  is a must.
• Exposure to Deep Learning applications and tools like TensorFlow, Theano, Torch, Caffe is preferred.
• Have the ability to discover new opportunities where analytical techniques can be leveraged for solving business problems.
• Relevant experience with organizations known for cutting edge/ best-in-class applications of Generative AI, Advanced Analytics, Predictive Modelling, NLP/NLU, Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence.

The Skills that are Good To Have for this role

• Hands-on experience in building machine learning solution using NLP/NLU applications and Generative AI
• Candidate will be expected to communicate analytical results and developed solutions in a way that is meaningful for business stakeholders and provides actionable insights.
