About us
Cristóbal Balenciaga founded the House in 1917 in his home of Spain. In 1937, he established the brand in Paris, designing its collections there until 1968. Cristóbal Balenciaga had a reputation as a couturier of uncompromising standards and was referred to as "the master of us all" by Christian Dior and as “The Couturier of the Couturiers” by Gabrielle Chanel. The ultra-modern shapes were trademarks of the house.
While the brand’s identity is firmly rooted in its highly conceptual prêt-à-porter collections, its leather goods, footwear, and accessories experience worldwide success as well. Among the archetypal products of the House are its handbag collections. A new focus on the development of Balenciaga ready-to-wear collections for men was quickly established as highly successful.
Since October 2015, Demna has designed both men’s and women’s collections as the artistic director.

We are currently seeking a Global Business Development Analyst who will report to the Global Retail and International Development Director.
Job Description
Your opportunity
Partners with the Global Business Development & Retail Director for the follow up of the retail business development Strategy of the brand, you will ensure project management and timely reporting.
How you will contribute
- Ensure overall project management (from business opportunity to actual implementation), taking the lead with the regions and other functions involved (mainly Regional Presidents and Retail teams, Store Planning, Finance, Wholesale etc),
- Carefully maintain and update the business development project database. You will also prepare presentations of all ongoing projects aimed to the Board and other key Global stakeholders,
- Report in a timely manner the status update of negotiations/projects in progress and follow the negotiations with business partners, for all channels/projects,
- Challenge the regions on all projects to ensure the added value of the project,
- Liaise with Retail Performance team to keep track of actual achievements from completed projects,
- Prepare analysis on the various markets where the brand is present or not in order to understand the opportunities and challenges,
- Review the various strategy reports and competitors analysis provided by the Group and report main points,
- Partner with stakeholders at brand level, aiming at creating synergies and communicating effectively on upcoming store openings,
- Partner with internal peers, also for technical/business negotiations.
Who you are
• A professional with 3 year experience into strategy consulting, investment banking, or business development. An experience in international business as well as retail business,
- An expert in Excel & PPT with strong analytical and presentation skills,
- A person with strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and handle many different tasks / responsibilities under pressure in a fast-growing environment,
- Fluent business and financial English (written and verbal).
