The primary role of Supply Chain function is to be responsible for all operational activities including key deliverables such as planning and analyzing resources and ensuring items are packaged according to specifications. Coordinating import and export. Performing distribution center/warehousing processing and distribution of orders. Developing & maintaining master schedule, pertaining to transport and cost effectiveness. Maintaining inventory levels. Identifying delivery problems, solutions, and improvement of transportation service levels.

Role Overview 
 

The Warehouse Team Leader plays a key role in supporting Resmed’s B4B ANZ Distribution operations by overseeing warehouse activities that enable accurate, efficient, and timely distribution of products across the network. Reporting to the warehouse supervisor, this position partners closely with Supply Chain, Quality, Provider Sales, and Operations teams. 

The successful candidate will lead and develop the warehouse team, ensuring operational excellence, safety, and strong inventory control while maintaining high service levels for internal and external customers. 

Key Responsibilities:

Safety & Compliance  

  • Drive a safety-first culture, ensuring all team members adhere to Resmed Health, Safety & Environment procedures. 

  • Conduct regular safety checks, hazard identification, and risk assessments within the warehouse environment. 

  • Ensure proper use of PPE, safe forklift operation, and adherence to manual handling guidelines. 

  • Oversee incident reporting, investigation, and follow-up actions to prevent recurrence. 

  • Support safety training, inductions, and ongoing competency requirements for all warehouse employees. 

  • Maintain clean, organised, and compliant work areas aligned with regulatory and internal safety standards. 

 

Leadership & Team Management 

  • Lead the warehouse team on a day-to-day basis, ensuring work is prioritised according to operational and business needs. 

  • Coordinate daily tasks including receiving, picking, packing, dispatch, and inventory management. 

  • Motivate, coach, and develop team members, fostering a culture focused on accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. 

  • Oversee team performance, workflow allocation, and adherence to warehouse procedures and SLAs. 

  • Support cross-training initiatives to build capability and operational flexibility across the team. 

 

Warehouse Operations & Inventory Control 

  • Manage all inbound and outbound processes including receipting, put-away, storage, replenishment, and dispatch. 

  • Ensure accurate picking and packing for work orders, transfers, and customer fulfilment activities. 

  • Maintain strong inventory accuracy through stock counts, reconciliations, audits, and effective control procedures. 

  • Oversee secure handling, movement, and storage of all inventory, tools, and materials with full accountability and traceability. 

  • Uphold all Resmed Quality and operational procedures to support compliance and service delivery. 

 

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication 

  • Act as a key point of contact between warehouse operations, Provider teams, Quality, and Supply Chain stakeholders. 

  • Provide updates on stock levels, inbound progress, fulfilment status, and operational priorities. 

  • Collaborate with internal partners to resolve issues quickly, including product discrepancies, system errors, and fulfilment challenges. 

  • Communicates changes, risks, or impacts proactively to support smooth business operations. 

 

Process Improvement & Systems Management 

  • Lead and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and warehouse safety. 

  • Support process optimization and standardization across warehouse workflows. 

  • Utilise warehouse systems (e.g., Oracle or other WMS platforms) for order processing, reporting, and inventory accuracy. 

  • Identify operational bottlenecks, propose improvements, and escalate system issues where required. 

Qualifications & Experience:

Required: 

  • 2+ years in a leadership role within a warehouse environment. 

  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations including, receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatch. 

  • Hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example in daily warehouse tasks. 

  • Excellent planning, organisation, and problem-solving skills. 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams and stakeholders. 

  • High attention to detail with a commitment to safety, accuracy, and process compliance. 

  • Collaborative and supportive, ability to constantly pivot in a fast-moving environment 

Preferred: 

  • Experience using Oracle or similar Warehouse/Inventory Management Systems. 

  • Demonstrated success implementing process, cultural, or operational improvements. 

  • Understanding of how inventory accuracy connects to service delivery, efficiency, and business outcomes. 

  • Current forklift licence.
