We are seeking a talented individual to join our Regional Career team at Mercer. This role will be based in Hong Kong. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Mercer Regional Career business (based in Hong Kong): Mercer Regional Career business is a specialized unit in Mercer, providing professional consulting and information services throughout ASIA PACIFIC. The areas of expertise include rewards advisory, executive compensation, talent strategy consulting for luxury & lifestyle retail industry, garment sourcing/supply chain industry, hospitality industry and more.
We will count on you to:
- Render services to a wide range of multinational companies and reputable corporations on Compensation and Benefits (C&B) Consulting
- Account for industry database growth by participating in business development and renewal activities, maintain client relationship and support any rewards projects like benchmarking, job evaluation, sales incentive plan review, etc.
- Take charge and ensure smoothness of compensation and benefits survey operation and support client’s enquiries.
- Conduct general market and client specific research using internet and internal databases to gather information on client or prospective client business information including acquisition history and business performance as required as well as build up industry knowledge for responsible industries assigned by drawing key insights
- Carry out rigorous data analysis on rewards surveys and assist in developing slide/reports to generate market trends information under direct supervision of more senior consultants.
- Conducts sales presentations and works to ensure the maintenance of a book of business of small, low-risk accounts. Conducts cold calls utilizing a proficient awareness of internal offerings and product solutions to ultimately gain sales meetings. Develops complex and effective sales proposals and sales presentations for prospect accounts. Closes sales deals by negotiating values and basic pricing structures to best serve both the business and client needs. Maintains account relationships and works to ensure the business is viewed as a preferred vendor.
What you need to have:
- Bachelor Degree , majoring in (not in order of preference) Human Resources, Statistics, Operation Management, Risk Management, Information System/Computing, or other business/science-related disciplines
- Excellent presentation and project management skills, plus strong business sense and mathematical/logical foundation
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and any advance analytics tool application skills is advantageous (VBA ability is a plus)
- 1+ years of work experience within the C&B/Talent Management/HR Consulting field
- Process oriented mind frame with a focus on efficiency and accuracy
- Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Self-motivated, good team player, fast, accurate, numerate, detail-minded, proactive, creative and prepared to go extra mile for career development
- Strong language capabilities in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
