Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, you will engage in the development of custom software solutions that are designed to meet specific business needs. Your typical day will involve coding, enhancing components, and collaborating with various teams to ensure the delivery of scalable and high-performing solutions. You will utilize modern frameworks and agile practices to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency in software development.

Key Responsibilities:

a) Provide end-to-end support for SAP MES/DM applications, including incident resolution, service requests, and performance tuning
b) Design, develop, and deploy enhancements, customizations, and integrations within SAP Digital Manufacturing (DM) and MES platforms
c) Collaborate with business users, functional teams, and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions
d) Monitor system health and proactively address potential issues to ensure high availability and reliability
e) Participate in change management, release cycles, and system upgrades
f) Document technical specifications, support procedures, and user manuals
g) Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing

Required Skills:

a) Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in SAP MES/DM (Digital Manufacturing, MII, PCo, or related modules)
b) Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and shop floor systems
c) Proficiency in SAP DM architecture, UI5/Fiori applications, and cloud-based deployments
d) Experience in integrating MES with SAP ERP (PP, QM, MM)
e) Solid programming skills in JavaScript, SQL, and SAP-specific technologies
f) Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in database skills (MSSQL or Oracle)
g) Familiarity with REST APIs, OData services, and edge device connectivity
h) Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
i) Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have:

a) Exposure to SAP BTP, IoT, or Industry 4.0 initiatives
b) Experience in SAP OEE.
c) Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
d) Knowledge of ITIL processes and ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow)

Education:

a) Bachelor s or Master s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
