Job Overview

The candidate will be an integral part of the Legal Department of Guardian Protection Services (a member of the Armstrong Group of Companies) and work closely with our attorneys, paralegals, legal administrators, and business colleagues to drive and achieve our corporate business goals.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Act as a project manager
  • Manage corporate licensing process
  • Manage department intake process
  • Oversee the staff workflow for the supported business division(s)
  • Propose and implement new procedures and processes for the department
  • Research discrete legal issues
  • Create and manage litigation holds and productions, including complex litigation
  • Maintain and draft from template agreements
  • Revise and draft higher-level agreements
  • Redline documents
  • Draft and file corporate compliance, UCC, and other regulatory documents
  • Request and review lien searches and COIs
  • Draft responses to subpoenas and consumer complaints
  • Assist with M&A

What You’ll Need:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with a focus on Word, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Organized and conscientious
  • Ability to think analytically
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Professional demeanor, especially with the handling of confidential or sensitive information
  • Ability to work within a dynamic environment
  • Team orientation
  • Experience with project management
  • Proficiency in legal research
  • Paralegal certificate, Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Adobe and LicenseHQ / LicensePro
  • Proficiency with contract management and ediscovery software
  • Notary license
