Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Launch Manager to join our Product Operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end launch process for new products and features, ensuring timely and successful releases. As a Launch Manager, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate all aspects of product launches, from planning and execution to post-launch analysis.
Position Responsibilities & Essential functions
Launch Planning:
- Develop and manage comprehensive launch plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder expectations.
Cross-functional Coordination:
- Work closely with product management, engineering, marketing, sales, customer support, and other teams to ensure all launch activities are coordinated and executed smoothly.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and issues related to product launches and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all launch-related communications, providing regular updates to stakeholders and ensuring transparency throughout the launch process.
Documentation:
- Create and maintain detailed launch documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-launch analyses.
Training & Support:
- Coordinate the development and delivery of training materials and sessions for internal teams to ensure they are prepared for product launches.
Quality Assurance:
- Oversee final quality checks and ensure that all launch activities meet established standards and requirements.
Post-Launch Analysis:
- Conduct post-launch evaluations to assess the success of product launches, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
Continuous Improvement:
- Continuously refine and improve launch processes and methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications and Required Skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Project Management, or a related field.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in product operations, project management, or a related role, with a proven track record of managing successful product launches.
Skills:
- Strong project management skills, with proficiency in project management tools such as Asana, Trello, or JIRA.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to anticipate issues and develop proactive solutions.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications:
- PMP, Scrum Master, or other relevant project management certifications.
Tools:
- Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools and methodologies.
Experience:
- Experience in a tech or SaaS company is a plus.
