Job Description:

Manages manufact purchasing requirements for a large plant or a division to support customer requirements. Selects suppliers from approved 3M list, participates in negotiating site specific purchasing contracts, and tracks and manages supplier performance. Uses Total Cost Model to ensure appropriate levels of inventory, optimize transportation costs and maintain business required flexibility. Is the plant expert on interfaces between plant purchasing systems and corporate sourcing systems. Improves business results by providing analysis and data interpretation to assist in the improvement of supply chain processes. Promotes supply chain thinking and optimization for existing and new supply chain processes which may include US and transnational processes.
