We are offering a special opportunity for a motivated and attentive individual to join us as a SIOP Intern. As a SIOP Intern at nVent Management Company, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in demand forecasting, inventory management, and supply chain planning. This internship will last for 6 months, during which you will work in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment.
Demand Forecasting: Assist in analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and customer behavior to help forecast future demand for products.
Inventory Management: Support in monitoring inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained to meet customer demand without excess.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Customer office, Purchase, Warehouses, Plant production, Planning teams, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment between demand forecasts and production plans.
Support in Planning Activities: Assist in the development of short-term and long-term planning strategies to meet business goals.
Data Analysis (only if senior): Collect, organize, and analyze data to generate reports that help in decision-making processes related to demand and supply planning.
Reporting: Generate regular reports on important measures such as demand accuracy, inventory levels, and supply chain performance.
Process Improvement: Contribute to the identification of areas for process improvement and support the implementation of effective strategies for demand planning and inventory management.
Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience in these fields will also be considered.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with planning software (e.g., SAP, JDE, M3) is a plus.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Teamwork: Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Organizational Skills: Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
Hands-on experience in demand and planning within a leading company.
Mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals in the field.
