A caregiver in this position works a hybrid schedule from 7:30am – 4:00pm or 8:00am – 4:30pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Coordinate administrative support services for medical caregivers and officers, including processing applications and appointments, orienting new team members and communicating information between staff, departments and administration.
Coordinate billing, collection and deposit of caregiver dues, including maintaining related records.
Assists in the preparation of, organization of, minutes, and follow-up for the Medical Executive Committee and other medical staff committees.
Assists in planning, preparing and executing medical staff events and functions.
Handle the maintenance of privileging and other provider related data.
Utilize current trends and practices in all aspects of credentialing and privileging.
Ensure the needs of the medical staff are met through efficient systems and processes in compliance with applicable accreditation and government agency standards and requirements.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High school diploma or GED.
Two years of direct experience, such as experience in a hospital and/or managed care setting, working with multi-specialty groups and/or other integrated delivery systems, or medical staff services and credentialing experience.
Knowledge of Joint Commission, NCQA, CMS state license requirements and other regulatory and accrediting entities.
Knowledge of current trends and practices in all aspects of credentialing and privileging.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor’s degree. This may substitute the experience requirement.
Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) certification by the National Association Medical Staff Services.
Healthcare experience.
Experience with credentialing and privileging.
