 The Warehouse Associate at Southeast Toyota Distributors, LLC. performs a variety of warehouse functions, including but not limited to the following functions at our Norcross Parts Distribution Center (PDC): picking parts from any warehouse zone, packing and securing parts for shipment to dealers, completing all appropriate paperwork, operating multiple types of powered industrial equipment, special projects as assigned and Inventory Maintenance activities.   

This position will be scheduled for 40 hours per week. All associates will work the night shift from January to May. In May, associates will transition to their final shift under one of these three schedules:   

 

Sunday - Thursday 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM   

Monday-Friday 5:30 PM-2:00 PM   

Monday - Friday 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM   

   

Responsibilities:   

  • Use of PIVs (Powered Industrial Vehicles) such as tuggers, forklifts, pallet jacks or lift machines to perform assigned tasks   

  • Use of safety equipment such as seat belts or fall protection body harness with lanyards is required   

  • Associates are tasked with efficiently completing their assigned work and are expected to interact professionally with others in a team-oriented environment   

  • Read and retain numbers and complete forms/paperwork precisely & legibly   

  • Meet safety, individual production, and quality performance objectives in a fast-paced environment   

  • Work with minimum supervision & follow through on assignments   

   

Qualifications:   

  • Warehousing or manufacturing type experience preferred   

  • Previous automotive parts experience is helpful, but not required   

  •  Strong short-term memory skills, particularly in recalling numerical sequences  

  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds, move around the facility for long periods of time, reach above head and shoulders, bend, squat, push, pull, grasp, and climb   

  • Comfortable with heights and utilizing equipment that can go up to 34 feet   

  • Attend and pass a hazardous materials handling/transportation class   

  • Ability to pass testing and maintain certification for the operation of powered industrial equipment (including but not limited to forklifts, order pickers, tuggers, and stackers)   

  • Prior experience with powered industrial equipment is preferred
