The Finance team’s goal is to be a trusted and collaborative partner to all the businesses and functional teams that we work with, bringing business acumen, financial expertise and insights to aid decision-making and deliver value to our stakeholders. In this role, you will be responsible for partnering with Greater China (GC) business leaders for all aspects regarding financial planning and technology-driven analysis for decision making, working on full spectrum of new initiatives to support our growth in this market
Let’s talk about Responsibilities
FP&A
Drive the budgeting and forecasting process for GC
Generate monthly P&Ls for all channels in GC, review variance analysis with business partners and drive SG&A efficiencies.
Analytical support for strategic decisions, monitor performance and evaluate results
Financial modelling for new business initiatives including product launches, new distribution, product pricing, go-to-market, promotional offers and M&A
Development and preparation of management reports/presentations for GC GM, Regional FP&A
Drive regional initiatives and support global finance transformational/digitalization projects
Coach direct or indirect team members on their growth, performance evaluations and feedback.
Business Partnership
Be a trusted business partner with the ability to challenge and influence leadership’s decisions, while building business relationships.
Become a member of China Leadership Team.
Be a key contributor in the journey of direct to consumer and digitalization business transformation.
Able to initiate, influence and drive business strategic conversation.
Understand key business levers to support both on-line and off-line business initiatives, provide insights that drive decision and outcome. Understand channel conflict and able to navigate through appropriately.
Work with Accounting team and Corporate Finance to ensure month end closing and reporting adhere to compliance and regulatory requirements
Systems
Ensure all platform systems fully support business processes and assist with the implementation of changes and improvements to these software systems.
Use technology to monitor the key metrics and operations of all channels
Continuously drive process improvement to translate business needs to operational steps and system processes.
Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience
Required (Qualifications/experiences that are an absolute must for the position)
Accounting, Business, Commerce or related bachelor’s degree
Accounting professional qualifications from a reputable organization (CA, CPA, CIMA etc) or MBA
Min 8 years related experience with at least 3 years in a multinational corporation
Proficient in data gathering through BI tools (E.g TM1, Cognos) and/or from cloud (E.g Snowflake) and budgeting systems (E.g Anaplan).
Substantial experience in ERP systems (Eg. Oracle) and creation of data visualization dashboards (Tableau, Power BI, etc)
Innovative, dynamic, mature, influential with high attention to detail, and ability to foster trust with all business functions.
Strong collaboration and organisational skills to work effectively with all functional departments to drive desired outcome.
Consulting mindset with strong analytical skills and ability to influence key stakeholders
Track record of thriving in ambiguity and driving business success through data driven decisions
Fluent in English and Chinese
Preferred (Qualifications/experiences that are preferred for the position)
Prefer to have worked in a fast-paced, complex, global and dynamic environments
Understanding of DTC business/e-commerce; understand the key levers that drive direct to consumer business growth.
Project and system implementation experience, exposure to M&A deals will be highly regarded
Consulting, Private Equity or Venture capital experience
