The opportunity

At Hitachi Energy, we’re advancing the future of sustainable energy systems. We’re now looking for a senior specialist to join our team as a Power System Data Analyst and AI/SW Developer, with deep expertise in power systems—particularly HVDC and power quality. This role combines domain knowledge with advanced data analytics and software development, contributing directly to the digitalization and optimization of complex energy infrastructure.

How you’ll make an impact  

• Use your power systems knowledge/skills to change the future of how to deliver HVDC technology and offers.
• Provide AI/ML skills to enhance the Power Systems algorithms.
• Lead and execute initiatives
• Work closely with colleagues both within your own department and across other teams to ensure effective collaboration and knowledge sharing throughout the organization.

Your background

• PhD (preferably) or M Sc in Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Knowledge in AI/ML.
• At least 10 years of experience from research and power industry.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken. Swedish is considered a plus.
• Research background combined with domain experience is a plus.
• You are a team player.
