We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Manual Test Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in manual software testing, a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and the ability to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. You will collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product managers to identify issues, validate requirements, and improve product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business and functional requirements to create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases for web, mobile, and desktop applications.
  • Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, System, Smoke, Sanity, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using bug-tracking tools.
  • Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing before releases.
  • Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
  • Participate in requirement reviews, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Prepare test execution reports and communicate testing progress to stakeholders.
  • Ensure software meets quality standards and business expectations before deployment.
  • Suggest improvements to testing processes and quality assurance practices.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and review their test cases when required.

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Manual Testing.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
  • Experience in Functional, Regression, Integration, System, Smoke, and Sanity Testing.
  • Experience creating detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
  • Proficiency with defect management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with SQL for database validation.
  • Experience testing REST APIs using tools like Postman is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of browser developer tools for debugging.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • ISTQB or equivalent software testing certification is a plus.
  • Exposure to automation testing concepts or tools such as Selenium is an added advantage.
  • Experience working in CI/CD environments is desirable.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to quality improvement.
