We are seeking a highly motivated Mass Properties Engineer to help us architect and manage the mass properties for our aircraft programs. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting design, analysis, and optimization efforts for Mass Properties across various projects, ensuring compliance with technical requirements and program goals.
In addition to mass properties experience, the ideal candidate should be a first principles thinker with a strong collaborative mindset that can help develop new and innovative ways to leverage software tools to reduce the traditional workload.
Role Overview
As a part of a high-performing team, you’ll work hand-in-hand with the integrated engineering teams, Engineering Leadership, and Program Leadership to architect a world class approach to developing and managing the mass properties of Overture and future aircraft programs. Your role will be crucial in providing end-to-end mass properties expertise by providing accurate analyses and assessments throughout the product lifecycle (including conceptual design, detailed design, and production phases). You'll also be responsible for developing and managing mass properties data through sophisticated databases, reports, and documentation. This work will lay the foundation for crucial decisions related to aircraft loads, performance evaluation, and cost considerations.
Your role will be at the forefront of embracing and implementing code-based methodologies with an automation-centric approach to mass properties calculation, management and integration with other users of the data by;

Compensation
The Base Salary Range for this position is $133,000 - $173,000 per year. Actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Boom’s total rewards package for employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives/equity, an open PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
