Overview:

At TD SYNNEX - Shyft, the Technical Services Representative position is a role designed to not only assist with managing the technical support representative team(s) and alleviate some of the day-to-day oversight from the supervisory staff, but also to assist with building the skillset needed to advance the career of the representative.  The TSR is responsible for ensuring that all programs are staffed appropriately.  The TSR will handle low level escalations to resolve issues in a manner that is beneficial for both the customer and the business.  The TSR will also review quality of work performed to provide informal coaching and/or determine if a formal coaching is required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required:

  • Leads process improvement initiatives (15%)

  • Provides guidance to lower level technical staff on key programs (25%)

  • Serves as the subject matter expert for assigned program(s) (25%)

  • Handles escalations from lower level technical staff to resolve issues (10%)

  • Escalates customer requests/complaints appropriately to other team members, departments, and management (15%)

  • Aids field support technicians to complete work order related technical repairs (5%)

  • May assist with other duties as assigned (5%)

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 3 to 5 Years of relevant work experience.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with Computer Sciences Field of Study preferred.

  • High School Graduate required.

  • Other Education / Certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network +, CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Desktop

Working Conditions:

  • Occasional non-standard work hours or overtime as business requires.

  • Consistent non-standard work or overtime as business requires.

  • On-call availability required as necessary.

  • Professional, office environment.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Able to execute instructions and to request clarification when needed.

  • Able to use a 10-key quickly and accurately.

  • Possesses basic clerical and data entry skills.

  • Possesses strong data entry skills.

  • Ability to input 40 words per minute

  • Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.

  • Able to recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Able to communicate clearly and convey necessary information.

  • Able to interact effectively with all levels of management.

  • Able to negotiate skillfully, promote/sell ideas persuasively, and close transactions with mutually beneficial results.

  • Possesses strong multi-cultural interpersonal skills.

  • Possesses strong leadership skills with a willingness to lead, create new ideas, and be assertive.

  • Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion.

  • Able to constructively work under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines.
