The Opportunity:
Are you an inspiring leader looking to make a global impact? Roche Singapore Technical Operations (RSTO) is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to helm our Manufacturing organization. As a key member of the Site Leadership Team, you will drive manufacturing excellence, champion a proactive quality and safety culture, and lead a high-performing team to deliver life-saving products.
In this role, you will hold full strategic and financial accountability for our manufacturing operations, serving as a vital change agent who fosters collaboration both within our site and across our global network.
As the Head of Manufacturing, you are responsible for:
Leadership & People Management
Inspire & Mobilize: Build a high-motivation environment rooted in strong team spirit, timely communication, and a shared sense of urgency.
Drive Strategy: Establish and execute strategic goals, taking full accountability for the Manufacturing organization's overall budget and financial performance.
Network Collaboration: Actively participate as a site leadership team member, driving cross-functional planning and decision-making across the site and global network.
Lead Change: Serve as a highly visible change agent, promoting flexible, open mindsets and a culture of continuous learning.
Technical Operations & Quality Excellence
Patient-First Quality: Ensure all products meet stringent Health Authority requirements and Roche Pharmaceutical Quality System (PQS) standards.
Inspection Readiness: Maintain constant cGMP compliance and audit readiness. Actively represent and front manufacturing operations during regulatory inspections.
Plant Ownership: Act as the frontline owner of manufacturing plants, equipment, and infrastructure. Partner closely with MSAT and Facilities & Engineering (F&E) to manage validations, tech transfers, repairs, and technical maintenance.
Root-Cause Resolution: Monitor deviations closely. Lead your team to identify root causes and implement sustainable, proactive solutions to solve problems forever.
Lean Production & Efficiency
Continuous Improvement: Embody the PT Lean Production System (LPS), encouraging experimentation, learning, and optimized labor efficiency.
Production Conformance: Support production planning, oversee In-Process Control (IPC) analysis, and ensure operations run smoothly without delay to meet scheduling and financial goals.
Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)
Safety Leadership: Enforce, implement, and take absolute ownership of all RSTO safety, health, environmental, and security requirements.
Empower Teams: Ensure all employees are thoroughly trained, competent, and equipped with the necessary tools to perform their work safely and without health risks.
Who You Are:
Proven Leadership: Strong track record of managing large-scale manufacturing operations and leading diverse, cross-functional teams within a biological or pharmaceutical cGMP environment.
Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical technology, validation strategies, and technical transfers.
Quality Mindset: Thorough understanding of Health Authority regulations, quality risk management (QRM), and deviation investigations.
Business Acumen: Experienced in lifecycle management, operational cost optimization, and full ownership of departmental budgets.
Core Skills: Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and a passion for Lean methodologies/continuous improvement.
