Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in hiring, managing, and training inside sales teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with Sales Force CRM or related software.

Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Sales Development Center. These duties include equipping newly hired sales professionals with the knowledge, skills, and techniques necessary to excel in their roles. Provide comprehensive training, coaching, and resources that help salespeople understand their products or services, develop effective communication and negotiation abilities, and learn how to prospect, close deals, and build lasting customer relationships.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate newly hired inside sales associates to maximize the potential of each salesperson and contribute to the overall success of the sales team and HDS.
  • Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture that promotes continuous learning and development.
  • Implement KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness of the sales development team's efforts.
  • Regularly analyze performance data and provide actionable insights to improve results.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance associate’s product knowledge, sales skills, and objection handling techniques.
  • Identify skill gaps and create personalized development plans for team members.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on the sales development team's performance to senior management.
  • Communicate insights, challenges, and recommendations to the leadership team.
  • Maintain a customer-centric approach by understanding customer pain points and needs and incorporating feedback into sales development strategies.

Nature and Scope

  • Solutions require analysis and investigation.
  • Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience.
  • Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
