Job Description

About the Role  

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Website Tag Manager to oversee and optimize our digital tagging infrastructure across Bose web platforms. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate data collection, tracking, and reporting to support marketing, analytics, and personalization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Google Tag Manager (GTM), Adobe Launch, or similar tag management systems, a strong understanding of web analytics, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, engineering, and data teams.  

Key Responsibilities  

  • Tagging Strategy & Implementation: Design, plan, implement, and manage website tags and tracking scripts using GTM, Adobe Launch, or other tag management systems.
  • Data Integrity & Quality Assurance: Ensure proper data collection by conducting tag audits, debugging, and troubleshooting tracking issues.  
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, analytics, development, and UX teams to support campaign tracking, A/B testing, and user behavior insights.  
  • Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Continuously monitor tag performance, page load impact, and data accuracy, making improvements as needed.  
  • Compliance & Privacy: Ensure compliance with cookie and data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and internal data governance policies.  
  • Documentation & Training: Maintain detailed documentation for tag management processes and provide training to internal teams as needed.  

Qualifications & Skills  

  • 5+ years of experience in website tag management, digital analytics, or a related field.  
  • Proficiency in tag management systems such as Google Tag Manager (GTM), Adobe Launch, or Tealium.  
  • Strong knowledge of web analytics tools, including Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Adobe Analytics.  
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for custom tag implementations.  
  • Expertise with data layer structures and event tracking best practices.  
  • Understanding of digital marketing technologies, including pixels, conversion tracking, and remarketing tags (Meta, Google Ads, etc.).  
  • Strong troubleshooting skills using browser developer tools and debugging extensions.  
  • Experience with privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and cookie consent management tools (OneTrust, TrustArc, etc.).  
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.  
  • Previous experience in eCommerce, SaaS, or digital media industries.  

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with server-side tagging and data pipeline integrations.  
  • Familiarity with BigQuery for advanced analytics.
