PRODUCT MANAGEMENT INTERN

Location: Toronto, ON

Division: Ticketmaster NA – Festivals & GA (Universe)

Line Manager: Product Manager

Internship Terms: Between 8-12-month Term commencing January 2025 working 37.5 hours per week

THE TEAM

Universe is a leader in online ticketing for general admission events. We’re constantly innovating with a focus on attractions and exhibits and are growing our team! We serve some of the biggest names in entertainment across attractions & clubs with operations spanning 15 countries across North America and Europe.

Our global team of over 60 people, we operate as an independent entity within the larger Ticketmaster/Live Nation family. We set our own roadmap and operate a modern tech stack (i.e., Kubernetes, Docker, Flux and more!), all with the financial backing and resources of a Fortune 500 company. THE INTERNSHIP

The Product Management Intern will work closely with Engineering, Design, and Business, understanding user pain points and translating those needs into next-generation products that delight our customers. You should have a desire to learn, sharp attention to detail, and a drive to work on high-visibility features. We need you to help us bring our platform to the next level and connect fans to the entertainment they love.

THROUGHOUT YOUR TIME WITH US YOU WILL

  • Learn and leverage market and user research techniques, combined with cross-functional collaboration to paint a full picture of our opportunities.
  • You will work to uncover user needs, market trends, competitor offerings, and product usage, uncovering the most impactful areas of improvement for our platform.
  • Work up to leading product discovery engagements by analyzing qualitative and quantitative data points to clearly and concisely define user problems.
  • Turn your product discovery results into product plans, with the chance to experience both MVP and future iteration planning.
  • Prepare clear communications and presentations for cross-functional teams
  • Shadow teams mid-build phase and help to ensure the product meets and exceeds the quality and methodologies that make us a leader in the space
  • Work and collaborate with our Product Managers; join as their squads plan sprints, run story acceptance meetings, and monitor progress to move projects forward

YOU WILL PROBABLY BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU

  • Are currently enrolled in a post-secondary program that requires participation in a co-op/internship placement as part of the curriculum to graduate
  • Have proven ability to work collaboratively across various teams to drive results
  • Are adaptable and used to working in rapidly changing environments
  • Love solving puzzles and problems, particularly when they involve analysis to reach a conclusion
  • Can communicate across all levels of team members, and are open to gaining exposure presenting to Senior leadership/Executive level members.
  • Get excited at the thought of taking ownership of something tangible, with the potential to impact thousands of people.
  • Possess deep passion for using technology to solve problems.

BONUS POINTS FOR:

  • Experience using JIRA, ZenHub, Pivotal Tracker, or other Agile product
  • Experience working in ticketing and/or the events industry
  • Proven pitch, negotiation, and/or development skills
