Job Summary
The Manager, Operational Publications is responsible for managing a team of Information Developers and Technical Writers in the design, development, and production of Air Traffic Services (ATS) documentation.

In this role you will:
- Manage the creation, maintenance, and distribution of ATS documentation.
- Plan, allocate, and manage financial and human resources.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
- Manage a team of represented professionals.
- Establish goals, objectives, and performance indicators for the team that are in line with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Monitor and report on documentation metrics and performance.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Foster a climate conducive to a motivated workforce and maintain effective employee relations through the application of company values and principles.
- Ensure good employer-employee relations and effective personnel development.
- Coach staff and determine training and development requirements.
What you bring:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, or a related field.
Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of management experience, including working and managing a team remotely.
- Experience in technical writing or documentation management.
- Experience managing a team of writers or documentation specialists.
- Experience in scheduling, planning, and capacity management.
- Experience with version control systems.
- Experience with documentation metrics and performance monitoring.
- Experience in project management.
- Proficiency in documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and content management systems.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of industry specific regulations and standards.
- Strong understanding of documentation standards and best practices.
- Knowledge of regulatory information development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of information management software such as SharePoint, CCMS, and project management solutions.
