Leasing Associate (Retail)

Location: Dallas, TX

Position Summary

The Leasing Associate at Last Mile Investments supports the execution of leasing, merchandising, and value-creation strategies across a national portfolio of 30+ retail assets in major U.S. markets. Reporting to the Vice President of Asset Management, this role manages third-party broker relationships, negotiates LOIs, new leases, renewals, and amendments, and contributes to portfolio reviews and annual vacancy and renewal budgeting. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate among brokers, tenants, internal teams, and vendors while managing a high volume of transactions. The Leasing Associate also collaborates closely among Leasing, Acquisitions, and Operations leadership to assess submarket trends, market rents, risks, and opportunities. This is a fast-paced, growth-oriented role within an owner-operator platform focused on value-add neighborhood retail centers, with travel required. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contribute to and execute on the leasing, merchandising, and value creation strategy for a region of a national portfolio of assets. 
  • Manage third-party leasing relationships across multiple states and markets. 
  • Negotiate letter of intents, new Leases, renewals, and other amendments. 
  • Draft renewal documents and amendments 
  • Conduct portfolio reviews with tenants.
  • Collaborate with Asset Management Team on annual budgets for vacancies and renewals. 
  • Collaborate with Asset Management Team and Acquisition Teams to optimize our understanding of sub-market trends, market rents, opportunities, risks, among other vital assessments for properties we’re under contract with and existing assets. 
  • Partner with Asset Management Team to achieve annual and quarterly leasing goals.  
  • Travel required. 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 2-10 years of retail leasing, in volume, preferably with experience within an owner/operator
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments while delivering consistent quality work.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with little supervision and seek help when needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits
