Come Drive Innovation with Us. We are currently looking for a Buyer 2, CPM to join our team in Franklin, TN.
In this role, you’ll negotiate pricing, manage purchasing activities, and coordinate with suppliers and internal teams in Smyrna, TN and Canton, MS to ensure the plants have the parts and services they need without interruption.
You’ll also help develop suppliers, support cost‑reduction efforts, and keep daily purchasing operations running smoothly to support Nissan’s broader goals.
A Day in the Life
The responsibilities listed are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties for this role. Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed, to support business objectives.
Negotiate competitive pricing and manage assigned commodities to support cost‑reduction goals.
Identify and develop suppliers to meet current and future production requirements while ensuring quality, cost, and delivery standards.
Analyze supplier options and select the most competitive sources for each commodity.
Manage contracts and purchasing records, including purchase orders, supplier files, and pricing documentation.
Coordinate cross‑department activities to maintain uninterrupted part supply and drive ongoing cost‑reduction initiatives.
Who We’re Looking For
Required:
3-5 years of purchasing/procurement experience, plus a Bachelor's degree in SCM, Business Management, Engineering, or similar.
Working knowledge of MS Office.
Ability to work on-site in Franklin, TN.
Desired:
Strong purchasing skills with solid contract negotiation experience.
Clear communication, interpersonal, and analytical abilities.
Demonstrates initiative, integrity, and diplomacy in complex situations.
Skilled in drafting and negotiating well‑structured contracts for goods and services.
