The Technology Support II – IT Desk Support will provide technical assistance and support to resolve systems issues, perform maintenance and upgrades, and troubleshoot technical problems related to hardware, software, and web-based applications. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with Walmart’s code of conduct and providing excellent customer service to all stakeholders. 

About Technology Support & Services: 

As part of the Technology Support & Services team, we are responsible for IT desk support for all Global Walmart campus offices. This includes providing Executive support when needed, where we assist senior leadership and Walmart associate located at our LA offices with their technical needs, ensuring their technology operates seamlessly to allow them to focus on their day-to-day productive work for Walmart.  

Our team plays a crucial role in the larger organizational framework by ensuring that all technical systems are running smoothly and efficiently. We provide support to various departments across the organization, from front-line employees to executives, which enhances overall productivity and minimizes downtime. 

By addressing hardware, software, and web-based application issues, we help maintain the operational integrity of crucial Walmart services. Our diligent work ensures that all stakeholders, including customers and internal teams, experience minimal disruptions, thereby contributing to the company's broader objectives of operational excellence and superior customer service. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Resolve systems issues by identifying root causes, recommending solutions, and communicating resolutions to management
  • Maintenance and Installation: Plan and execute maintenance upgrades, install and configure hardware/software, and respond to breakdowns
  • Client and User Interaction: Address client issues, determine problem nature, and maintain records of software licenses and hardware needs
  • Application Support: Research and troubleshoot issues with web-based applications and the intranet, coordinating with relevant divisions as needed
  • Compliance and Customer Service: Adhere to company policies, maintain confidentiality, and provide excellent service to stakeholders

 

What You’ll Bring: 

  • 3+ years experience in IT support a plus, with extensive understanding of Mac and Apple products ecosystem 
  • Strong understanding of network configurations – VPN, layers of Wi-Fi and internet 
  • Strong understanding of the integration environment, Active Directory 
  • Understanding of program/software installation and fundamentals   
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications 
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues, identify root-cause, and resolve issues quickly 
  • An exceptional customer service focus 

 

Preferred Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science 
  • Certified CompTIA A+ 
  • IT desk support experience 
  • Understanding of PC & MAC systems 
  • Self-starter mentality with experience working in a fast-paced environment 
  • Excellent communicator and problem solver who works well under pressure  
  • Possesses an analytical mindset 
  • Empathetic and collaborates well with others 
  • Strong attention to details  
  • Manages time well and prioritizes effectively

The annual salary range for this position is $72,000.00-$132,000.00
