Avionics Business Unit is looking for Software Engineer to support Systems/Software/Development and Verification activities. The position also involves contributing to thrust areas of Collins such as Autonomous Operations, Connected Ecosystem, Electrified Aircraft etc. Any relevant experience/knowledge in these areas shall be preferred. Ability to work in Agile teams and flair to lead as required is valued. Acumen for Lean and Innovation will be an added advantage. Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate in circuit branches or Aerospace having 0-2 years of experience in Aerospace embedded systems with the listed skills may apply:

Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate degree in Science, Technology, Engineering.

Experience in C/C++, Python programming, MATLAB, AI/ML (Hands on experience in Design and Development)

Understanding of Safety critical software development Standards and Procedures and Avionics ARINC Protocol

Exposure to DevOps, GITLAB, GRAFANA, JFROG, QVSCRIBE, Coverity, SQL, Docker are added advantage

Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle is essential.

Experience in Requirement Based Testing and System Testing is preferred.

Knowledge of Agile Framework.

Knowledge on Digital SW Life Cycle Product tools like PREP, Doors, SVN, JIRA, Vista etc.

For Doctoral Candidates:

Having a flair for Applied research with ability to apply research concepts to Technological applications.

Working through TRL1 to 5 and above.

Good research acumen, adept in Heuristics and empirical work.

Exemplary writing skills (IP and Papers).

Ability to work in groups, especially with non-research engineers in making quick prototypes.

Thirst to work in applying AI/ML, Quantum Computing etc. to solve Aerospace challenges such as Resilient Communication, Controls, APNT etc.

Experience with UAVs and other Autonomous systems is highly valued.

Working knowledge on prototyping platforms, Computing systems, Sensors Networks, IoT devices, MEMs are encouraged.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

Requires theoretical knowledge typically obtained through University Degree. Limited to some knowledge of RTX organization.

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.

Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
