Job Overview

The project Planner Lead for Limerick will serve as the key project-specific planning guide, owning and defining the business user requirements, supporting data preparation and governance, and leading validation activities for the new finite planning solution supporting Project JET.

This role will own finite planning related User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and collaborate with project team to ensure end-to-end UAT is successful, including test script creation, execution, and documentation of objective evidence in QTest.

The Planner Lead will ensure that the new planning application supports both sites and future capabilities such as 2X and Multi SKU, while supporting the evaluation of proposed solutions to secure best-in-class functionality aligned with JJVC’s long-term planning goals.

A critical aspect of this role is to collaborate closely with Plan Excellence on any current or future capability changes within OMP, ensuring strategic alignment and seamless system integration.

Duties & Responsibilities

User Requirements & Data Governance

• Own and lead the definition of detailed user requirements (URs) for the new planning application, ensuring alignment with business needs and strategic growth initiatives.

• Collaborate with key stakeholders and the project team to gather, review, and validate URs, ensuring comprehensive capture of functional and technical needs.

• Support data preparation activities, ensuring high data quality, consistency, and governance standards for testing and production environments.

• Support data governance activities to maintain accurate, reliable, and compliant planning data.

• Coordinate with Plan Excellence on current and future capability changes in OMP, ensuring planning requirements are aligned and future-ready.

Validation & Test Script Development

• Develop detailed test scripts based on URs, covering critical functionality, including future capabilities such as 2X and Multi SKU.

• Lead or support the execution of UAT, ensuring scripts are followed, issues are documented, and resolutions are implemented.

• Ensure all test data is prepared, complete, and aligned with test scripts to facilitate thorough validation.

• Compile and maintain objective evidence, including test results and deviations, within QTest or other validation systems.

Solution Evaluation & Future Capabilities

• Support the evaluation of proposed planning solutions through review of demos, prototypes, or pilot systems.

• Contribute to assessing vendor proposals, system upgrades, and new functionalities to ensure best-in-class applications that support JJVC’s future planning demands.

• Provide input on potential application improvements, focusing on scalability to support 2X, Multi SKU, and other growth initiatives.

• Collaborate with project team (MSDS, Quality, IT, etc) to ensure the system's configuration supports current and future operational needs.

System Validation & Support

• Support in validating the planning system configuration, including supporting testing, validation activities, and documentation.

• Own and drive change management efforts and system upgrades related to planning tools.

• Ensure the application’s design is aligned with industry and J&J best practices, scalable, and capable of supporting future capabilities.

Continuous Improvement & Future-Readiness

• Provide ongoing input on application design enhancements that support future growth and planning flexibility.

• Support post-implementation reviews and system optimization activities to maximize value and usability.
