We're looking for a Hosting Operations Engineer (24/7) to join a growing team of junior and mid-level Hosting Operations professionals in the EMEA region.

This is your chance to work alongside experienced engineers, support production environments, and build real skills in cloud technologies — all while helping us deliver reliable, secure services to our global client base.

 

What You’ll Do:

• Help deploy, manage, and monitor client infrastructure and internal tools.

• Work closely with the Operations Lead to implement infrastructure-as-code changes.

• Monitor systems, respond to alerts, and contribute to maintaining 24/7 uptime.

• Use a ticketing system (like Jira) to manage issues and keep task statuses up to date.

• Spot issues in processes or documentation — and help make them better.

• Participate in shift work 

What We’re Looking For:

• Some experience in a technical support or service desk role.

• Familiar with ticketing platforms like Jira, ServiceNow, or Zendesk.

• A proactive, process-driven mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

• Clear and confident English communication skills.

• Experience with AWS, Docker, Linux, or infrastructure monitoring tools is a plus — but not a must. If you're keen to learn, we’re keen to teach.

Bonus points if you’ve had exposure to:

• AWS services like EC2, RDS, CloudWatch, or CloudFormation

• DevOps, cybersecurity, or log monitoring tools like Sumo Logic or Splunk

• Cloud threat monitoring platforms like GuardDuty or Alert Logic

Where you’ll work;

Alfa operates a smart working model encompassing 2-3 days a week working from home and other days from our co-working space based in the Olivia Centre, Gdansk.

Although you will be joining a new team at our Tricity Hub, you will work very closely and as an integral part of our wider team at Alfa. You will receive guidance, training and support from Cloud Operations, Solution Architecture and Delivery teams globally, to enable your successful onboarding and ongoing career with us. 

Culture is the beating heart of Alfa and we find nothing is better for culture than engaging company conferences and meetings. As such you will be required to join the wider Alfa EMEA team 4 times a year for exciting company events. Our conference locations vary across the UK and Europe each year.
