The position requires advisory responsibility for automotive gasoline/ diesel turbocharger applications in terms of whole engine and powertrain system, cooperating with application engineering teams in Asia, visiting customers to propose new products and consult for matching. Responsible for engine market & technical trend analysis & summary, definition on next performance development target & product technology. Key user for engine system simulation

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1.        Internal/ external consultant for automotive gasoline/ diesel turbocharger applications from whole engine/ powertrain system point of view.

2.        Supporting responsibility for the following fields cooperating with all application engineering teams in Asia:

3.        Gathering information from customer:

4.        Detail engine and periphery parts specification (incl. hybrid system)

5.        Usage of our products in engine system (incl. engine control strategy)

6.        Advanced engine and powertrain system trend

7.        Turbocharger matching

8.        Performance simulation (e.g. GT-Power simulation)

9.        Introduction of new products to customer

10.     Trainer for engine/ powertrain system (including hybrid system)

11.     Development of training module for advanced engine technology aligned with Turbo Academy program

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.      Bachelor’s Degree or above in turbocharging, internal combustion engine, thermodynamics, or mechanical engineering.

2.      Min. 10 years working experience for major OEM in engine development department, responsible for the following fields:

3.      Engine/ powertrain system concept

4.      Engine/ powertrain design, test, or simulation for performance and emission

5.      Engine/ powertrain control calibration

6.      Engine intake/ exhaust/ EGR system development

7.      Professional verbal and written English communication skills.

8.      GT-Power experience is preferred.
