Maintenance Mechanic

1st shift

JOB SUMMARY:

Assist in installation, alterations / modifications, and maintenance of facility's systems and equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Carry out specific assignments as directed by the Maintenance Work Order System.   Document and update all maintenance work orders completed Maintenance Work Order System. Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to assure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. Perform all duties in compliance with facility policies, rules, and regulations on safety, conduct, and housekeeping. Protects the Company’s investments in machinery, equipment, and facilities by exercising care, skill, & knowledge.  Make required alterations / modifications to equipment and systems. Assist in establishing and maintaining maintenance standards and procedures. Maintain a neat, clean, orderly work area in compliance with 5-Pillar Standards. Partner with facility leadership, engineering and employees to develop, execute and maintain productivity and process improvements Perform special projects as assigned


 

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

High school diploma or GED equivalency required. Technical degree in mechanical maintenance preferred.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

4-7 years previous maintenance experience.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Metal working experience is a requirement (including welding and fabrication skills). Must have the ability to read and interpret design drawings and tooling prints. Knowledge of OSHA/safety guidelines, procedures and policies related to maintenance and repair (such as Lock Out/Tag Out, OSHA 10 hour or 30 hour training). Availability and willingness to work overtime as required; "on-call" duty is required Ability to work well with little supervision. EAM experience / Computer skills

Fast- paced environment

Occasional off-shift / weekend / holiday work required.

Base Pay Range:

$23.24 - $27.78
