What impact you’ll make?
Principal responsibilities include but not limited to managing EU export-import and intra community in and outbound shipping processes from customer site to any of GE global repair service centers (including Out-of-Gauge cargoes), leading the Hungary repairs logistics hub inspection and consolidation processes. Lead Logistics Specialist is responsible for freight forwarder/carrier and transport mode selection, providing professional support to contracted services and transactional representatives as well as global gas repair Service Centers. Export-import transactions must be recorded and shipping documentation archived. This role reports to the EURCIS Operational Lead (Repairs Logistics flow leader).

Job Description

What you’ll do

• Plan and Execute inbound and/or outbound repairs shipments.

• Out-of-Gauge (OOG) shipments. Plan, coordinate and execute OOG/project cargoes (rotors, generators, etc.) shipments in safely and cost efficient manner.

• Verify that all data required for safe transportation is collected and validated, including technical documentation and drawings

• Provide accurate shipping invoices and related export /import documents to all customers, shipping agents and other related parties.

• Coordinate and record material movements and provide proper custody and control until delivery terms have been fulfilled.

• Control and improve data accuracy of logistics tracking system,

• Conduct RFQ’s for internal stakeholders to provide cost/cycle scenarios.

• Identify and implement best cost solutions regarding transport mode, route, carrier selection, container utilization and consolidations, for ocean, air and over the road freight, material flow improvement.

• Cargo Management.  Maintain shipment schedules. Develop, maintain and distribute shipment status reports to key stakeholders.  Monitor and maintain in-transit inventory report to ensure accuracy.

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

• College or university degree in relevant field

• Strong experience in international logistics or related field,

• Strong knowledge of EU temporary export regulations and import regulations,

• Good understanding of foreign temporary import and re-export requirements,

• In depth knowledge of ICC Incoterms 2010

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in Hungarian and in English

• Ability to perform under pressure in an environment of high volume transactions,

• Ability to plan, assign priorities and solve problems.

What will make you stand out (desirable Qualifications)

• Strong knowledge of EU temporary import processes,

• Knowledge of various software applications (OTM, SAP, MS Access & Excel, etc.).

• Experience of handling OOG (Out of Gauge) cargoes would be an advantage.
   

Additional Notes:

• This is fix-term role (replacing person on maternity leave).

• Successful applicant will be legally eligible to enter into an employment relationship under the laws of Hungary

• This is a hybrid role with two days remote and three days in the office.
