What you'll do:

This position requires experience managing both Windows and Linux based Application Servers, and Message Queues. The ideal candidate will be very familiar with the in’s and out’s of managing Servers in a Cloud and DC environment. Service Delivery experience a plus. Work with and as a part of tiger teams for rapid infrastructure delivery.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support Windows and Linux Servers in a cloud and DC environment
  • Work with business units in developing requirements
  • Conducts thorough investigation until resolution, supports NOC, L1, L2 teams for root cause analysis
  • Ensure appropriate lifecycle management of middleware tools is being followed
  • Creates and presents reports to stakeholders; updates process, documents and conducts other duties as required
  • Adheres to company Risk and Cyber policies and procedures
  • Can extend 3rd party monitoring solutions such as Solarwinds, AppDynamics to monitor applications
  • Can work in Azure DevOps workflow managing Git Repos, and Scrum Teams.
  • Ability to tune and debug issues

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of related experience as a Sysadmin and in an infrastructure and operation role.
  • Understands APM tools like AppDynamics/Dynatrace, SolarWind, LiveAction, NetBrain, Splunk/ELK and ThousandEyes
  • Knowledge with IBM MQ
  • Extensive knowledge setting up and running Kubernetes/Docker.
  • IAC, automation using Ansible, and Terraform
  • Extensive experience working with both development and infrastructure teams
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information-technology, engineering, system analysis, mathematics, or a related study, or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in a bank environment providing infrastructure services to end users and/or development teams
  • Understanding and experience in designing & implementing modern solutions related to infrastructure
  • Experience working with network, server, application teams and product owners to develop remediation action
  • Understanding of strategic, new, and emerging technology trends
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and can communicate with Executive Level stakeholders as well as Engineering teams.
  • Ability to build trust and respect as a thoughtful leader who can influence and persuade business and IT leaders and development teams.
  • Objective mindset that can think ‘enterprise first’ and remain unbiased toward any specific technology or vendor choice, with decisions made based on data, analysis, & POC results.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
