Job Description Summary:

To provide leadership, management, education, and direction for the Non-Invasive Imaging department areas, focused on a customer-oriented service that includes quality patient care and state-of-the-art technology. With the supervision of the Executive Director of Radiology, responsible for managing personnel and the overall of the non-invasive radiology departments 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.

Responsibilities

Approves, monitors and evaluates employee performance and work schedules, counsels, disciplines, recommends salary changes, employment, and discharge for all Non-Invasive Radiology department employee.
Evaluates and is part of the negotiations and approval process the purchase of radiology equipment, supplies and maintenance contracts.
Prepares annual department budget for Administrative approval; authorizes and manages expenditures within approved budget.
In conjunction with the Medical Director of Radiology directs the Radiology Quality Assurance and Quality Control Programs within the department to ensure continual improvement of care and service.
Represents the non-invasive department at staff meetings, division meetings, directors meetings, etc.
Provides solutions for inter and intra departmental issues.
Evaluates Employee Engagement Survey; complies results, makes recommendations.
Reviews, develops and updates department policies and procedures.
Ensures the proper segregation and safe disposal of hazardous pharmaceutical waste.
Develops and maintains a positive work climate for the department and champions the Quality Plus philosophy in the department Performs related responsibilities as required or directed.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Skilled and proficient in the field of Radiologic Technology as obtained through a minimum completion of an AMA accredited and approved School of Radiologic Technology as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Management, or health related field Master’s Degree Preferred.  
LICENSURE, REGISTRATION, CERTIFICATION: Must be licensed and/or certified by one or more National Certification Boards such as the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).  
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a multi-modality Radiology Department.
