About This Opportunity 

We are looking for a creative, passionate and results driven Principal Marketing Professional to support the Rural Clinical School on a broad range of communication, engagement, events and marketing activities.  In this role you will be supporting the successful delivery of the Medical Pathways marketing and communications activities as well as a range UQ and Medical School priorities across student recruitment, research promotion and other associated areas.

Key responsibilities will include: 

Working with the Senior Managers and Marketing & Communications Client Services, support and implement effective communication strategies for the Rural Clinical School, ensuring that the strategic priorities are appropriately supported by central and local marketing efforts.

  • Act as a key liaison for the Rural Clinical School in marketing and communications, providing strategic advice and facilitating connections with UQ’s marketing community.

  • Coordinate Medical Pathways marketing activities, including involvement in working groups and steering committees.

  • Develop and manage e-marketing communications, produce engaging content for outreach initiatives, and handle media inquiries to promote the Rural Clinical School and its programs.

  • Regular travel is required to the four Rural Clinical School sites (Toowoomba, Rockhampton, Bundaberg and Hervey Bay) and this is a KPI for this position.

About You  

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience in marketing or related discipline.

  • Strong knowledge of contemporary marketing practices, as demonstrated through recent work experience and a track record of successful delivery.

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering professional services within the university sector or alternatively within another large, complex and/or regulated organisational environment.

  • Ability to work with senior stakeholders in the translation of business objectives into communication activities.

  • Experience in working within a professional services team environment.

  • Experience working or living in a rural context and willingness to travel to work across the Rural Clinical School footprint
