Thermodynamics/HVAC engineer

We are now seeking a self-driven and analytical Thermodynamics/HVAC engineer to join our Climate Controlled Systems team.

In 2024, AutoStore launched the world’s first combined frozen & chilled robotic warehouse system, enabling dual temperature storage of goods inside our unique robotic cube system. This is especially attractive in online grocery companies, which is a growing business globally. As a part of our continues investment in this area we are strengthening the team.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, test and document new technologies for a refrigerated/frozen AutoStore system
• Design, set up and maintain our innovative testing space at Husøy Innovation Hub.
• Contributing to developing AutoStore Innovation Hub. 
• Structure and follow up reports of findings and results
• Follow-up on sub-contractors
• Collaborate with other teams in AutoStore on technical improvements

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum bachelor, preferably master within one or more of the following:
  • HVAC
  • Thermodynamics
  • Refrigeration
  • Process engineering
• Relevant experience is an advantage
• Experience with Python/Matlab is a plus 
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• Recent graduates with a master’s degree are encouraged to apply
• Able to work independently and show great initiative as well as a team player
• Analytical with a systematic approach
• Creative and solutions oriented
• Eagerness to learn and be updated on the latest technology
• Patient and persistent

This role is based at our Innovation Hub in Husøy, Haugesund.
