This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams and locations.

  

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Fleet Operations Coordinator to provide critical support in the efficient management and oversight of our transportation assets. This role is part of our hardworking team of diverse Facilities Maintenance and Security Operations specialists, technicians, and engineers. This role involves assisting the Fleet Operations Manager in coordinating various routine operational and administrative tasks related to fleet maintenance, transportation logistics, and asset management. A focus of this role is to ensure seamless and compliant fleet operations. The Fleet Operations Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day activities, as well as contributing to the overall effectiveness and productivity of our transportation operations. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assists with managing and oversight of vehicle maintenance schedules and records
  • Supports monitoring and management of fuel consumption, vehicle use, and performance metrics
  • Maintains accurate records of vehicle inspections, repairs, and service history
  • Assists with procuring and sourcing of fleet assets, including vehicles, equipment, and parts
  • Supports developing and implementing transportation safety and compliance programs and procedures
  • Assists with coordinating driver training, certification/license renewals, and insurance documentation
  • Conducts routine reporting and data analysis related to fleet and transportation metrics
  • Plans vehicle logistics, including routing, scheduling, and dispatch coordination
  • Coordinates interactions and communications with internal and external stakeholders
  • The preferred site for this role is Florida, but our existing sites in Texas, Huntsville, and Seattle may be considered
  • Travel of up to 20% is expected to support fleet operations at all Blue Origin sites, especially as we develop and deploy new processes and tools

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrates strong organizational and administrative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in MS Office and fleet management software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Understanding of transportation and fleet management principles and regulations

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or transportation coordination
  • Knowledge and understanding of safety and regulatory compliance in fleet operations
  • Familiarity with fleet management software and vehicle telematics systems
  • Certificate or associate degree in business administration, logistics, transportation, or related field


 

Compensation Range for:

WA applicants is $27.72-$38.81

Other site ranges may differ
