Caterpillar Financial Services currently has an opportunity for a Credit Analyst (1 year agency contract) to join the team.

Job Summary

Evaluates commercial loan requests by reviewing applicants' credit histories and analyzing financial statements to approve or deny loan applications.

What You will Do (not limited to)

• Reviews the credit history, profitability, and liquidity of clients to assess the risk level involved in credit extension or money lending.

• Consults with customers to verify financial and credit transactions;

• Communicates with credit associations and other relevant authorities about the credit history of customers.

• Analyzes financial data to determine customers' risk profile for commercial loans; recommends approval or denial of loan applications.

What You Have

• Degree or equivalent experience desired

• Finance and Accounting: Knowledge of accounting practices and the ability to analyze financial statement, balance sheet data and determine the creditworthiness of a business enterprise.

• Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviours.

• Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

• Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision and accuracy.

• Credit Analysis and Verification: Knowledge of credit analysis and verification; ability to utilize tools and techniques to determine the creditworthiness of an applicant.

• Compliance: Knowledge of security filing requirements and their applicability to bankruptcy laws and regulations, CMAP, Credit Bureau (CIC), Anti-Money laundering and Sanctions regulations, security filing requirements and their applicability to bankruptcy laws and regulation.
