Key Responsibilities:
Drink Preparation: Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes or customer preferences.
Customer Service: Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner. Take drink orders and engage with customers to ensure their satisfaction.
Stock Management: Ensure the bar is well-stocked with supplies. Monitor inventory levels and inform barbacks when supplies need to be replenished.
Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized bar area.
Safety and Compliance: Check identification to verify legal drinking age. Adhere to all local and state regulations regarding alcohol service and ensure responsible alcohol consumption.
Customer Interaction: Provide recommendations on drink choices, engage in light conversation, and handle any customer complaints or concerns politely and professionally.
Bar Setup & Breakdown: Set up bar before opening hours, ensuring all supplies and equipment are ready for service. Clean and organize the bar after closing.
Qualifications:
Prior bartending experience is ideal but not required
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have ability to take directions and effectively perform the work.
Must have basic working knowledge of cash register
Must speak and understand English well enough to converse with customers, supervisors, and employees.
Must have a pleasant personality and a neat appearance.
Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of shift.
Must be able to carry and lift at least 40 lbs., according to industry standards.
