Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced or Senior level Structural Repair Customer Training Engineers to become part of the Airplane Training Maintenance Team in Seattle, WA.

Position Responsibilities: 

The Structural Repair Customer Training Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining and teaching a variety of structural repair courses. The following courseware is currently taught by the Boeing Structural Maintenance Training group to commercial airline, MRO, and defense engineers.

  • Boeing Structural Maintenance Training Courses:
    • Metallic Repair Design for Engineers
    • Composite Repair Design for Engineers
    • Composite Non-Destructive Testing
    • Boeing Drawings
    • Boeing Structural Repair Manuals
    • Corrosion Prevention and Control
    • Composite Non-Destructive Testing

The Structural Repair Customer Training Engineer is expected over time to increase the number of courses they are qualified to teach. The qualification process involves attending and surveying the course, spinning or studying the course material followed by a technical check performed by another qualified instructor.

This position will use a two-part interview process, with the second interview being a presentation.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.  Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at (USA - Seattle, WA).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors Degree of Science or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace or Civil Engineering.
  • 3+ years’ experience in one or more of the following structural engineering disciplines:
    • Repair
    • Design
    • Liaison
    • Stress Analysis
    • Service Engineering
    • Airline Structural Engineering
  • Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time both domestically and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 9+ years' experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1+ years’ experience developing or delivering courseware.
  • 5+ years’ experience in one or more of the following structural engineering disciplines:
    • Repair
    • Design
    • Liaison
    • Stress Analysis
    • Service Engineering
    • Airline Structural Engineering

Typical Education & Experience:

Experienced-Level:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Senior-Level:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Experienced- Level:  Summary pay range: $96,050 - $129,950

Senior Level:  Summary pay range: $120,700 - $163,300
