We are searching for the best talent for E&PS Project Delivery Summer Intern, with primary location in New Brunswick, NJ however we will consider US remote workers who can travel to other sites.

• The Intern term is from May, 2026 to August, 2026.

Purpose:

At Engineering & Property Services (E&PS) we take care of all J&J buildings around the world providing end-to-end services from Real Estate, Engineering & Strategic Project Delivery to Facilities Management. We have a profound influence on the entire J&J Enterprise, providing innovative workplaces where our employees can collaborate and grow, and delivering flexible site solutions which enable our business to best serve our important customers and patients.

We are seeking a highly motivated intern to join the Project Delivery team. The Intern will work in conjunction with Project Delivery, E&PS COE & Business Excellence support groups and transactional areas to streamline reports, digitize KPIs/scorecards, promote the use of interconnected electronic dashboards and data cleansing to drive performance management using single source of truth data, reduce backlog, and create flow aligning to customer demand by eliminating non-value-added activities. Develop current and future state maps (e.g., VSM) for the assigned areas, prioritized job jar, and track progress of projects execution plan. Support the organization in any initiative to improve processes through; kaizen teams, 6S, dashboards, scorecards, visual aids, standard works, checklists, time studies etc. The incumbent candidate should be able to communicate properly and influence others.

You will be responsible:

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including kaizen events, 6S activities, standard work creation, checklists, time studies, and workflow optimization projects.
• Support project execution by maintaining prioritized job jars, tracking progress, and documenting action items and deliverables.
• Map current‑state and future‑state processes using Lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and assist in identifying waste, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
• Provide project coordination/management support such as participation in team meetings, scheduling, taking meeting minutes and tracking follow-up actions.
• Perform ad hoc data analysis as required to gather insights and provide recommendations.
• Prepare and present project progress reports and presentations as required.
• Coordinate and maintain upkeep of SharePoint and Microsoft team documents.
• Support and participate in team and Credo activities.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Civil or Industrial preferred), Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or Engineering Management, or related fields.
• Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is required at time of interview and hire.
• English Language Fluency
• Travel Requirements: This position will require up to 10% domestic travel.
• Map current‑state and future‑state processes using Lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and assist in identifying waste, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
• Proficient in Microsoft and Google Software.

The expected pay range for this position is between $23.00 per hour and $51.50 per hour but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience. Co-Ops/Interns are eligible to participate in Company sponsored employee medical benefits in accordance with the terms of the plan. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible for the following sick time benefits: up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington, up to 56 hours per calendar year. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension).
