The North America Brand Management Team is the Marketing function responsible for leading and driving plans that serve the brand and business. Our goal is to serve creators and position the brand in culture. 

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Brand Marketing Specialist, for our North America Converse team based in Boston! You’ll help support the seasonal brand plan development and brand campaigns by season, with a focus in Basketball and streetwear for Converse!

As one of the key members of the North America team, you will be responsible for managing seasonal projects that are essential to achieving our annual business and brand goals for one of Converse’s most influential geographies. 

As part of our marketing brand team, the Brand Marketing Specialist will be responsible for supporting the seasonal brand plan development and brand campaigns by season. Support and aid in providing insights, and a point of view through the lens of Basketball as a key field of play. And lead with creator-first mindset to inform seasonal marketing plans that will elevate the brand and deliver upon commercial priorities.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

Each day will bring dynamic opportunities that you’ll work with your team of brand marketers to solve for. You’ll obsess how to make our brand, product, purpose, and seasonal messages resonate with our target consumer. You will be at the forefront of driving a foundational consumer strategy through branded content, services, partnerships, and experiences, which will come together as best-in-class, full-funnel marketing plans. 

You will use your experience in digital, social, retail, experiential and brand marketing to work across functions and cities to drive a robust concept map and continually build new consumer experiences that accelerate brand and business growth opportunities internally and externally.

As the Brand Marketing Specialist, Converse you will: 

  • Seasonal Marketing Plans & Briefs: Support the seasonal North America marketing plan and seasonal brand briefs, in partnership with the Geo Brand Marketing teams.
  • Insights: Uncover and communicate key insights about our consumers, trends, marketplace and competitors to help the marketing function stay informed and connected
  • Cross-Functional Support: Support and enable connectivity across North America to drive impact our Converse-brand moments.
  • Hindsight: Support and manage work to understand results and learnings against key initiatives, in partnerships with geo leadership teams and functions.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

You will partner with our North America Brand Directors and marketing leaders in North America to lead our brand marketing plans and key consumer concepts including marketing briefs, strategic tools and marketing initiatives that fuel our seasonal initiatives and long-term consumer concepts. 

You will collaborate with diverse cross functional teams to go to market including specialists across direct-to-consumer marketing, influencer, wholesale, data science, paid media, creative, communications, global and city teams, and agency partners. This is a team sport and will require consistent collaboration, partnership, and consensus with critical stakeholder groups in order to effectively lead the consumer offense across the geography.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Sport/Fitness or combination of relevant education, experience and training. 
  • 2+  years of experience in brand marketing
  • Demonstrated genuine passion and deep understanding of street style culture, basketball, and trends.
  • Demonstrated understanding social media land scape 
  • Excellent relationship building skills and knows how to influence working teams and key partners and work cross functionally
  • Detail oriented. This position requires someone who can build plans, presentations, and keep the team moving cohesively in the right direction.
  • Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies, and methodologies in digital marketing, content creation, and social media
