WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
We work closely with fellow merchants, buyers and cross-functional teams within Nike Direct; in particular Digital and Stores Buying, Consumer Merchandising, Planning & Allocation, Territory Merchandising and Brand Marketing. We also work with finance, operations and the insights/analytics teams; relying on business reporting which includes quantitative and qualitative metrics on sales, inventory and consumer behaviors.

We are looking for consumerists with an affinity for kids’ product that enjoys the energy of moving at the pace of retail and the consumer. A successful Senior Buyer will thrive and contribute to a positive and progressive team dynamic, as well as lead in a way that elevates the total team.
The candidate should possess proven retail competence and analytical abilities, have an understanding of retail environments, detail oriented, and bring a consumerist perspective to the team and business.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You will be focused on Apparel & Footwear, executing strategies for the Kids Lifestyle business for NDDC in APLA by using your proven retail competence and analytical abilities, strong digital acumen, and your consumerist perspective to the team. This position will require flexibility, curiosity, and comfort in ambiguity as you work with multiple Territories across the globe from Korea, Japan, Pacific, SEA&I, & LATAM. You will report to the Kids NDDC Merchandising Manager.
In this role you will be responsible for adapting & curating Kid right assortments with end in mind for the Nike Direct Digital business across Territories by using historical data, analytics and real-time market feedback to advise the future (coming seasons) while winning today (in-season read & react/selling & serving)!
You will hone consumer-centric assortment plans across multiple seasons with an understanding of Nike Direct’s position in the market & competitive landscape. This includes capacity planning based on business needs, territories history while working cross fields of play to ensure synergy with adults.
You will participate in seasonal buy reviews to ensure the assortment is planned to optimize growth with your critical partners.
