Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to understand material specifications and requirements, ensuring all purchases meet company standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with logistics to ensure a continuous flow of materials, preventing production disruptions.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring clear and open communication.
- Implement purchasing strategies that optimize costs and improve delivery timelines.
- Release purchase orders based on MRP signals and inventory requirements.
- Monitor and track open orders to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with suppliers to confirm delivery dates and resolve delays.
- Maintain accurate system data, including lead times, order quantities, and delivery dates.
- Follow up on critical shortages and escalate issues that may impact production.
- Review and adjust planning parameters (e.g., safety stock, reorder points) to align with demand fluctuations.
- Collaborate with warehouse and receiving teams to ensure smooth inbound material flow.
- Support production scheduling by ensuring material availability for planned builds.
- Participate in daily operations meetings to provide updates on material status and risk
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in raw material purchasing or procurement roles, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, MRP, and inventory management.
- Proficiency in SAP ERP systems and advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
- Advanced English proficiency is essential for effective communication with international suppliers.
