North Torrington Veterinary Hospital is a small General Practice in Torrington, CT. We are looking for a Full-Time Experienced Veterinary Technician who is a Team player to join our wonderful staff and doctors.  The ideal candidate will be caring, compassionate and will show empathy toward clients and their pets. Candidates must have the ability to remain calm during emotional and stressful situations, be able to work in a fast-paced and growing hospital and have excellent customer service. Certification is not required, but experience is a must.

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

• Understanding of Veterinary Medicine, practice and procedures (clinical & surgical) 

• Administer SQ Fluids 

• Dentistry 

• Perform Diagnostic Testing 

• Phlebotomy (Utililze Idexx lab equipment

• Provide compassionate care to patients. 

• Provide excellent client communication. 

• Prepare & maintain exam rooms, treatment area & surgery. 

• Flexible and willing to perform many job duties within the hospital. 

Experienced, motivated, energetic, personable, team-oriented individuals are encouraged to apply. 

EXPERIENCE: 

2 or more years of experience 

Employment will require the successful completion of references and background check. 

Schedule:

4-day work week (approximately 32 hours)

Must be able to work some Saturdays.
