Verition Fund Management LLC (“Verition”) is a multi-strategy, multi-manager hedge fund founded in 2008.  Verition focuses on global investment strategies including Global Credit, Global Convertible, Volatility & Capital Structure Arbitrage, Event-Driven Investing, Equity Long/Short & Capital Markets Trading, and Global Quantitative Trading.

We are looking for a senior developer to join our risk technology team. This person will take a senior role in helping to develop the firm’s risk technology framework, and work closely with senior members of the technology and risk management teams. 

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop applications for supporting Risk Management Team.  
• Communicate and work closely with Risk Management team.
• Mentor junior members of the team
• Provide support for existing applications. 

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience
• Ability to program in Python, Java, C# or Scala
• Experience with various AWS technologies (Redshift, Batch, Airflow, Lamba, etc)
• Experience with MySQL, REDSHIFT, Oracle, SQL Server
• Experience in database design for both batch processing and reporting
• Experience in building ETL processes
• Experience working in third party systems (e.g.  Risk Metrics, Bloomberg AIM and others).
• BA/BS degree in STEM or equivalent experience
