Job Summary

KBR is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dorm Attendant to support the daily operations, maintenance, and scheduling of two dormitory/lodging facilities serving U.S. Air Force (USAF) personnel. This full-time, on-site role (Monday to Friday, 0800–1700) requires strong organizational skills and effective communication, particularly in English, due to regular interaction with USAF military and civilian staff.

The Dorm Attendant will ensure that all unoccupied rooms are cleaned according to the standards and schedule provided by the U.S. Government (outlined in a reference document known as Appendix D), and that all common areas and bedrooms maintain a consistent layout. The role includes assisting the Dorm Attendant Lead in maintaining control of all keys and key cards, managing guest accountability, conducting arrival briefings, coordinating linen exchange services, and verifying the functionality of appliances and furnishings.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform facility support duties for two buildings, including entering maintenance work orders into designated software systems.
• Support the Dorm Attendant Lead with monthly reporting of work order status to COR.
• Assist in compiling and submitting monthly work order status reports to the Contracting Officer Representative (COR), as requested.
• Support the development of monthly cleaning and housekeeping schedules for temporary-use rooms, subject to U.S. Government (USG) review and approval.
• Maintain unoccupied rooms in “stand-by status” by placing linen bundles on beds, ensuring drawers and closets are empty, and confirming keyless door locks are functional. Report any issues to the Dorm Attendant Lead.
• Conduct linen inventory and submit reports to Dorm Attendant Lead.
• Brief incoming personnel on building layout and safety procedures using a USG-provided checklist.
• Inspect rooms to ensure they meet USG standards prior to occupancy.
• Maintain key and key card inventory under supervision of Dorm Attendant Lead.
• Assist in managing guest accountability and updating USG-provided spreadsheets.
• Reset rooms and common areas to standard layout during unoccupied status.
• Provide support during military exercises, emergencies, and other special situations as directed.
• Perform functional checks of equipment, appliances, and furnishings when required.
• Coordinate linen exchanges with the cleaning vendor designated by the USG, as applicable.
• Assist the Dorm Attendant Lead with all other assigned duties and responsibilities.

Basic Qualifications

• Must have the ability to read, write and communicate in English at a B1 Level
• Computer Operating Knowledge
• Ability to lift/push or pull up to 15 kilograms
• Spanish Class ‘B’ driver’s license
• Excellent Time Management Skills

Preferred Qualifications

• English Level B1 certification
• 2 years or more customer service experience
• Basic skills using Microsoft Office software such as MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and other programs when required
