About the Role:

The Treasury team is uniquely positioned in the center of processing Remitly’s global transaction flows and enabling business growth. Reporting into the Group Treasurer, you will lead our global cash management team and build out our corporate treasury function. You will thrive in ambiguity and will have experience with cross-entity organizational change, process improvement, financial risk management. This will be blended with broad corporate finance knowledge with effective program management.

You Will:

  • Manage a global team with talent in Seattle, London, Philippines, and Nicaragua

  • Manage our global cash resources and full life cycle for treasury payments including settlement of all wire payments and FX trade settlements

  • Conduct strategic cash management reviews, developing cash management strategy, building policy, reporting, technology, and process roadmaps

  • Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment, ensuring that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements

  • Key owner of Remitly’s debt portfolio. Managing our bank facilities, including origination, renewals, drawdowns and headroom

  • Develop centralized and standardized global bank account administration and documentation processes

  • Key stakeholder in corporate entity management

  • Review our cross entity FX and balance sheet exposures, taking action to correct any imbalance, recommending hedges where appropriate

  • Develop and maintain strong banking relationships to ensure delivery of appropriate and cost-effective global banking services and support

  • Identify, recommend, and help implement new technologies and enhancements

You Have:

  • Significant 10 or more years of experience in Treasury functions, ideally in large international environment, with previous change-management / integration experience desirable

  • Experience in Debt origination and management

  • Has a deep understanding of bank account management, international funds flows and cash management systems

  • Experience with foreign exchange and intercompany cash management and structuring

  • Broad experience across banking platforms, treasury workstations and/or ERP systems

  • A team approach: will be a key player with building out new markets and will require collaboration across the organization

  • Strategic thinker with excellent verbal and written communication; able to communicate complex financial issues in simple, understandable terms

  • Knowledge of accounting processes and internal controls

  • Experienced leader that must be prepared to be hands-on and lead from the front

  • Self-starter, highly ethical, reliable, highly communicative with the demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field

Preferred:

  • Experience leveraging machine learning or artificial intelligence for insight and automation

  • Experience in fintech industry, especially payments

  • Profession certification (CTP or CPA) a plus

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $164,000-$205,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
