Radiologic Technology Assistant

Location: Spanish Fork Hospital – Intermountain Health
Status: Part‑Time | 16 hours per week

Schedule: 3pm - 11:30pm - Thurs, Fri one week, Sat, Sun next week
Pay Range: $18.22 – $23.68 per hour (dependent upon experience)
Benefits Eligible: Yes (per part‑time eligibility guidelines)

The Radiologic Technology Assistant plays a vital support role within the Imaging Department at Spanish Fork Hospital. This position works side‑by‑side with imaging technologists to ensure patients are prepared, supported, and cared for throughout their diagnostic imaging experience. Essential Functions

  • Accountable for the safe and effective delivery of patient care under the direction of the imaging technologist
  • Assist in preparing patients for imaging exams while remaining sensitive to their physical and emotional needs
  • Assist patients on and off procedure tables and transport patients to and from procedure rooms
  • Assist and/or oversee coordination of patient care throughout the imaging process
  • Communicate pertinent patient information to technologists and other care team members following procedures
  • Routinely inspect transport equipment and notify appropriate personnel when repairs or maintenance are needed
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during transport and imaging workflows
  • Perform IV insertion upon certification and successful skill pass‑off, as applicable

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and care teams
  • Understanding of safety regulations and guidelines related to imaging modalities
  • Basic computer skills and ability to navigate electronic medical record systems
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Caregivers
