Inside the Role

The Transportation Data Analyst is responsible for overseeing daily transportation network operations supporting Reman and Core material flows. This role ensures reliable planning, execution, visibility, and financial accuracy across a multi modal network operated through internal teams, external suppliers, and 3PL partners.
This position provides operational oversight of continuous improvement projects, load planning, shipment execution, performance monitoring, exception management, and carrier invoice validation while driving continuous improvement in service, cost, and process stability.
In addition to ongoing operational responsibilities, the role will lead the initial establishment and transition of transportation activities into DTNA-managed processes, ensuring systems, contracts, carriers, cost structures, and reporting frameworks are properly set up and sustainable.

Position offers a starting salary range of $71,000 - $91,000 USD  

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What You Drive at DTNA 

Daily Operations Oversight

  • Monitor and manage transportation activities across the Reman & Core network including load planning, tendering, tracking, issue resolution, and carrier communications
  • Oversee 3PL daily execution, ensuring service levels, process compliance, and performance expectations are met
  • Conduct daily/weekly exception management for supplier issues, dealer issues, equipment availability, customs delays, and contingency scenarios
  • Ensure timely and accurate carrier invoice processing, including CASS validation, GL coding accuracy, and cost-center alignment
  • Manage the global freight to Reman locations (including daily imports/export activity and broker interactions/performance)
  • Maintain visibility to transportation demand and ensure forecasting inputs are accurate and aligned with Reman business requirements

Network Performance, Analytics & Reporting

  • Build and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reporting on transportation performance, cost, and carrier compliance
  • Analyze trends, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide recommendations for network optimization
  • Support performance reviews with 3PLs and carriers, ensuring accurate data and operational insights

Carrier & Supplier Management

  • Support the onboarding, screening, and training of carriers—including equipment planning expectations and JIT communication requirements
  • Partner with Procurement on contract renewals, onboarding cycles, and risk identification for carrier transitions
  • Coordinate supplier training on load scheduling, pickup requirements, and process standards

Financial & Systems Governance

  • Oversee transportation rate structures, including data table maintenance, updates, expirations, and reloads to appropriate business units
  • Support the rebuilding of CASS tables and GL coding rules to ensure accurate accounting for transportation activity
  • Partner with Finance on month-end accruals and cost transfers, including company‑code reconciliations and automated/manual journal entries
  • Ensure transportation systems (internal and 3PL) are functioning correctly, aligned, and configured to support all Reman & Core flows

Initial Setup & Transition Responsibilities

  • This role will lead the operational readiness activities required to transition Reman & Core transportation oversight into DTNA’s IBL function, including:
  • Establishing visibility to Reman demand through relevant systems and data integrations
  • Leading training and documentation development for new processes, systems, and workflows
  • Partnering with 3PL to define expected workload, evaluate required resources, and determine system connectivity needs (while minimizing additional long-term 3PL dependency)
  • Reviewing and assuming ownership of trailer rental agreements, yard storage agreements, and related logistics contracts
  • Coordinating carrier setup, onboarding, data collection requirements, and performance reporting structures
  • Facilitating cross‑business alignment for CASS processes, invoice routing, and cost allocation with all DTNA / Reman/ Core business units
  • Validating resource requirements for internal staffing and ensuring capacity alignment to the sustained workload

Knowledge You Should Bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Data Analytics, or related field; or 6 years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in transportation operations, logistics planning, or a data/analytics role within supply chain.
  • Power BI/Tableau skills.
  • Experience working with 3PLs, carriers, and suppliers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of freight accounting, rate structures, invoice auditing, and GL/cost-center processes.
  • Proven ability to manage exceptions, resolve escalations, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Exceptional Candidates Might Have 

  • Experience supporting Reman, Core, or Aftermarket logistics networks.
  • Knowledge of CASS, EDI/TMS integrations, or SAP (S/4, EWM).
  • Experience in contract review, rate management, or carrier onboarding processes.
  • Background in transportation network transitions, insourcing efforts, or process stabilization initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills with data proficiency in Advanced Excel and transportation management systems (TMS).
